Edward Wayne Thacker

With humble acceptance of God's will, we announce the passing of Edward Wayne Thacker, 72, of Bessemer Alabama, who went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 24th 2025.
Wayne went to Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Ca, where he lived before moving to Gonzales, Tx. He was a man of many trades. Wayne enjoyed music, and country music singers have always been a really close family to him. He spent lots of his time in the desert in his younger years, riding dirt bikes with his family. He enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball teams, and racing RC Cars with his son and nephew. His family will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Wayne leaves behind a legacy of compassion, kindness, and tons of humor. His favorite thing to do was to make people laugh. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Benitez, son-in-law, Jason Benitez, son, Jeremy Thacker, grandsons, Logan Mooney, Jarrett Thacker, and Jacob Thacker, granddaughters, Teagan Mooney, Kyla Bailey, Keely Mann, and one great-granddaughter, and his nephew, Chris Wainscott. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dean Thacker, father, George Thacker, and his sister, Patricia Bethel.
