Edward J. Winkle

Edward J. Winkle, 80, of Clifton, passed away August 21, 2022. Born and raised in Clifton, Mr. Winkle was a lifelong resident. He was a 1960 graduate of Clifton High School and then served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966.
Before retirement, Mr. Winkle was employed for 44 years with Dewey Electronics of Oakland. Previous employment was with Bendix Corp. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Mr. Winkle has enjoyed being an avid guitar player and has entertained family and friends for many years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Aldina (nee Taverna) Winkle.
Survivors include: his beloved wife, Louise (nee Iuele) Winkle; his two devoted sons, Edward J. Winkle, Jr. and Joseph Winkle; his daughter-in-law, Michelle Winkle; and his two grandchildren, JP Winkle and Nicole Winkle. He also had a sister, Anna Winkle.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:15 am from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Mass at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 797 Valley Road, Clifton. Interment to follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children s Research Hospital. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
