Edward P. Zdarko, 86, of the Valley View Turkey Farm, Titusville, PA, passed away peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, August 22, 2025 surrounded by the family he cherished.

Ed was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1957. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Navy. He entered the service on July 3, 1957 in Erie, PA. He served on the USS Angler submarine, where he was known as "Zorro", at New London, Groton, Connecticut submarine base until his honorable discharge on June 30, 1961.

He was a graduate of Gannon University, class of 1969 earning a BS degree in engineering. He also attended business school at SUNY Binghamton and attended sawyer school in Williamsport, PA.

Ed lived a life rooted in service, soil and a sense of humor. From the decks of the USS Angler to the rows of his fields, he worked with steady hands and a steadfast heart. He believed in family, hard work and the power of a good joke.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 64 years; children, Edward C. Zdarko and wife Tracy of Titusville, Mary Lynn Hess and husband Stephen of Sanford, FL, David Zdarko and wife Tina of Titusville, Ann Koon and husband Larry of Jersey Shore, PA, and Richard Zdarko and wife Teresa of Titusville; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Zdarko of Titusville; a sister, Catherine Baldwin of Buffalo, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel Edward Zdarko; and a brother, Anthony Zdarko, Jr.

He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, quick wit and a life well lived, one that will be remembered with laughter and love. He would say to his living family and friends, "Ja Cie Kocham" which means "I love you" in polish.

A Celebration of Ed's life will be held at the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department 157 W. State Street Pleasantville, PA 16341 on Saturday, October 11th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.

The family asks that you may send flowers to someone living to make them smile or to make a donation to the charity of your choice in memory of Ed.
