Edwin "Eddie" Glenn Edwards, 59, passed from this life on Monday, May 15, 2023 with his family by his side at his sister's residence: Shirley Hamilton.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the Whitesboro Cemetery with Reverend Kenny Bryant officiating. The burial will follow under the direction of Jones Harkins Funeral Home, Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers Delbert Williams, Pete Stout, Jimmy Edwards, Travis Craig, Jonathan Edwards, and Russell Edwards.
Eddie was born on February 5, 1964 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Delbert "Pete" Edwards and Helen (Rose) Edwards.
Eddie loved to joke around with everyone he met, including pestering the kids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the casino. When he worked, he was a hard worker.
He is survived by his sisters: Shirley Hamilton of Talihina, Ola Jane "Janie" Pyle of Talihina, Edith Newman of Salonia, and Georgina Lou Lyons Champagne of Rechiert; his half-sister: Edna Faye Tidwell of Talihina; his brothers: Frank Rose of Indianola, Jimmy Edwards of Muse, Tommy Edwards of Talihina, Russell Edwards of Talihina, and Bobby Edwards of Talihina; half-brothers: Delbert Edwards of Anadarko, Bobby Edwards of Comanche, and Edmond Edwards of California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents: Delbert "Pete" Edwards and Helen (Rose) Edwards; grandparents: Liga Leatus Edwards and Ola Edwards, and Allen Rose and Sarah (McClard) Rose Gentry; his sister: Georgia Sue Rogers; half-sisters: Christeen Meeks, and Dorothy Edwards; brothers: Eugene Edwards, Johnny Edwards, Howard Edwards, and Pat Edwards; and half-brother: Josh Edwards.
