Edwin Ren Obituary

Edwin B. Ren, 90, of Camden, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Oneida Rehab Center in Utica. He was born in Depew, NY, on August 20, 1935, a son of the late Stanley and Bertha (Sosnowski) Ren. He was a graduate of Elba High School and on October 25, 1958, he was united in marriage to Diane Chandler. She passed away September 8, 2017.

Edwin was a firefighter with the Syracuse Fire Department for over 20 years, retiring in 1980. From 1969-1991 he owned and operated Ren's Family Market in McConnellsville with his wife Diane. He also owned and operated Ren's Mobile Estates in Cleveland for several years.

Edwin was a long-time member of the Sconondoa-Sherrill Masonic Lodge #814 and the United Methodist Church of Camden. He was also a member of the Syracuse Power Squadron, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Antique Auto Club, and Syracuse Fire Fighters Association-IAFF Local 280.

He is survived by two daughters, Maryrose Bozogain (Richard) and Margaret "Peggy" Bielby; a son, David Ren; a sister, Rosemarie Ruck (Donald); ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Louis and Stanley Ren; and a daughter-in-law, Michele Ren.

Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. 9464 State Rt. 13, Camden, NY 13316, on Thursday, January 22nd from 2-5:00 p.m. A service will follow at 5:00 p.m. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery will take place in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Edwin's memory to the Vienna Fire Department or the United Methodist Church of Camden.
