Edwina Elizabeth Pugh, 84, of Griffin, Georgia, was born on February 22, 1942, in Griffin, GA. She peacefully transitioned from this life surrounded by love and cherished memories.

Edwina was a proud graduate of Fairmont High School, Class of 1960. She dedicated many years of her life to caring for others through her work at McIntosh Trail, where she served faithfully as a caregiver before retiring. Her compassionate nature and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many families in her community.

She was widely known for her many talents and warm personality. Edwina had a passion for sewing and was especially gifted in creating custom wedding and prom dresses that made countless young women feel beautiful on their special days. She was also a skilled hairdresser and admired for her ability to bring out the best in others. In addition, Edwina was known for her delicious Southern cooking and baking, often bringing family and friends together around her table with love and laughter.

Edwina was preceded in death by her parents, Naomi and Forrest Morris, and her siblings, David Morris, Betty Morris, and Loretta Morgan.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory of her children, LaTonya Pugh and Mellany (Vernon) Hughes. She is also survived by her beloved siblings Patricia Burnette, Modestine Parker, Odessa Boone, and Dianne Harris.

Edwina's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Brittany (Byron) Young, LaDarius Pugh, Brene Piercy, Layla Daniel, Jade Hughes, and Jamirah Hughes; and her great-grandchild, Logan Piercy. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends who will forever remember her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

Edwina will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her love, creativity, and nurturing heart will live on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so dearly.
