Minnie Elizabeth Willis

Minnie Elizabeth Moose Willis, age 78, of Griffin, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.

Minnie was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 16, 1947. Her parents, Chester Moose Sr. and Lela Henley Moose; grandson, Christopher Robinson; and brother, Chester Moose, all preceded her in death.

To most people, Minnie may have seemed like a simple woman who worked at Waffle House, but what many may not know is that she lived a life full of determination and resilience. She held many roles throughout her life, including welder, bread deliverer, newspaper carrier, Walmart employee, and CNA. She even earned her GED in her 50s, proving that if she wanted something, she could achieve it. She was especially proud to show her grandchildren that they are capable of doing anything they set their minds to.

Survivors include her daughters, Christine (Patrick) Robinson, Angela (Mike) Michel, Wendy Willis Garner; grandchildren, Michael Michel Jr., Eric Michel, Patrick Robinson, Destanie (Jesse) Edwards, Sarah (Michael) Mitchell, Bryce Garner, Olivia (Porter) Michel Bethune; and great grandchildren, Brycen Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Scott Michel, Peyton Michel, Kaleb Michel, Shelby Durham, Morgan Bradberry, Kade Michel, Weston Michel, Maverick Michel, Liam Webster, Brooklynn Mitchell, Walker Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, Lawson Bethune, Ruth Edwards, and Xander Edwards.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury with Pastor Patrick Robinson officiating. A family graveside service will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
