Eileen Lois Austin

Hamilton, MA- Eileen Lois (Jones) Austin, 95, of Hamilton passed away at home on January 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late John Frank Austin, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother to her daughters Sheri (Austin) Lahris of Ponte Vedra, FL and Lisa Austin and her husband, Thomas Kusleika of Hamilton. Lois was born in Lynn on March 16, 1929, to the late Harry and Harriette (Thurston) Jones.
Family was everything to Lois. When she and Frank moved to Hamilton to raise their young children, they chose to build their home on the very street where her parents and her sister Doris and her family lived; ensuring that family would always be close.
She was a graduate of The Chandler School in Boston. As a young woman, Lois loved to horseback ride and dance. She lovingly tended to her beautiful gardens and home and was an extraordinary cook and baker who enjoyed hosting family gatherings that were always filled with joy and laughter. Lois was the ultimate caregiver, always nurturing her family with all her heart. Her joyful laugh, spirit and caring soul will be forever in our hearts.
In addition to her daughters, she is survived by two grandchildren, Michael Lahris and his wife, Samantha, Julia Farino and her husband, Jason; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Linda Carey and her husband, Michael, Teryl Tornroos and her husband, Chris; and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank, her sister Doris Thomas and brother-in law Llewellyn Thomas.
