Eileen Marie Busching, loving wife and mother, passed away on March 4, 2025, at home, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.. Eileen is survived by husband, Thomas Busching, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; daughter, Meredith Busching, of Lawrenceville, Georgia; and brother, Ken Fischer, of Anthem, Arizona.
Eileen was born in the Washington Heights section of New York City to Herman and Helen Fischer on May 3,1944 and began helping her mother with household duties and raising her younger brother, Ken, when her father passed away in her teenage years.
Eileen attended St Helena's High School in the Bronx and upon graduation, started working for the New York Telephone Company. In 1965, Eileen married Thomas Busching in St. Patrick's Cathedral, in New York City. Eileen and Thomas moved to Germany and traveled throughout Europe before returning to Harriman, New York with another move to Monroe, New York. In 1978, Thomas was transferred to Atlanta, Georgia, with AT&T, and the family built their new life in Gwinnett County.
Eileen was a dedicated stay at home mom to daughter, Meredith, and became a volunteer with Gwinnett County Schools as a room mother and library assistant. Eileen's passion was caring for her home and decorating it beautifully.
Per Eileen's request, no service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Susan G. Komen Foundation, Children's Hospital of Atlanta, Trinity Lutheran Church of Lilburn, Georgia or Furkids Inc.
