In Remembrance of Eileen Kronbichler 12/31/1939 - 08/22/2025
Eileen Mary Therese Kronbichler, 85, of Point Lookout, NY, passed peacefully at her
home on August 22, 2025. She was surrounded by family, warmth and love.
Born on December 31, 1939 in the Bronx, Eileen was the cherished daughter of the late
Dr. Charles and Mary Enright. Eileen grew-up in the Bronx and spent summers with
her family in Point Lookout where she made countless friends. She graduated from
Molloy College (1982), earned her Juris Doctor at St. John's University Law School
(1985), and was admitted to the New York State Bar (1986).
She began a legal career focusing on the care and needs of underserved populations,
first at Nassau-Suffolk Law Services and then in private practice. After a legal career
spanning over 35 years, she retired from practice but continued to help others and
mentor attorneys up until just a few weeks ago. Her focus in the law and her life was
always to give back with kindness and empathy.
Eileen married Richard Kronbichler in February of 1969. The two built a beautiful home
together in Point Lookout, sharing nearly 43 years of love and laughter until Richard's
passing in 2011. Eileen was a loving mother to her daughters, Kathleen and Christine,
and grandmother to Peter. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Tracey Main, and a
vast extended family of cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws.
Eileen was a voracious reader of mystery novels, loved her Thursday Mahjong group,
and loved watching Tennis - especially Wimbledon. She loved Christmas and never
missed hosting large gatherings every year. She was devoted to her Catholic faith, her
family and her community of wonderful friends. We remember Eileen for her kindness,
generosity and light-hearted sense of humor (with a hint of sarcasm!). She touched so
many lives and will be missed by all.
