Mrs. Bombassi, 82, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at MD Anderson Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
Elaine was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Tioga for the past fifty years. She was a retired billing coordinator at Freedman Clinic. She enjoyed spending time with her family; they were the center of her life. She spent time being a part of various church activities and organizations. She was always willing to help anyone in need from charities to church members. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. and Elma Basco LaBorde; two brothers, Reverend Paul LaBorde and Huey LaBorde; and one sister, Evelyn LaBorde.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of sixty-three years, Richard Anthony Bombassi; two sons, Michael Bombassi (Dianna) and Tony Bombassi (Mona); two daughters, Annette Moreau (Terry) and Sharon Feazell (Chad); one brother, Byron LaBorde (Margaret); ten grandchildren, Jimmy Ates, Lance Billingsley, Mac Moreau, Callie Bombassi, Grant Bombassi, Nicholas Bombassi, Zachary Bombassi, Isabella Bombassi, Ryan Feazell, and Britney Feazell Hanna; and four great grandchildren, Ryleigh Billingsley, Grayson Billingsley, John Brian Feazell, and Riley Moreau.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Jimmy Ates, Austin Hanna, Grant Bombassi, Nicholas Bombassi, Zachary Bombassi, and Ryan Feazell.

Elaine was a cherished friend of the Johnston family. She was always there for us in good times and bad. She will be missed by us and so many. She had a huge heart and wanted to help everyone. God Bless you Elaine. Give a big kiss and a hug to my Dad, he'll be there to greet you. We love you Elaine.
