A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Richard Anthony Bombassi will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga, with Father Rick Gremillion officiating. Interment will follow in Tioga Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Bombassi, 86, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA.
Richard was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Tioga for the past fifty years. He was retired from the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time with his family; they were the center of his life. Richard spent time being a part of various church activities and organizations including the Knights of Columbus. He was always willing to help anyone in need from charities to church members. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine Mary Bombassi; and his parents, Tony and Betty Bombassi.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include two sons, Michael Anthony Bombassi (Dianna) of Groves, Texas, and Tony Angelo Bombassi (Mona) of Hixson, Tennessee; two daughters, Annette Moreau (Terry) of Turkey Creek, and Sharon Feazell (Chad) of Boyce; seven grandsons, Jimmy Ates, Lance Billingsley, Mac Moreau, Grant Bombassi, Nicholas Bombassi, Zachary Bombassi, and Ryan Feazell; three granddaughters, Callie Bombassi, Isabella Bombassi, and Britney Feazell Hanna; four great grandsons, Grayson Billingsley, John Brian Feazell, Riley Moreau, and Ben Feazell; and one great granddaughter, Ryleigh Billingsley.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of departure to the church. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Nic Bombassi, Zac Bombassi, Ryan Feazell, Grant Bombassi, Austin Hanna, and David Laborde.
