Elaine M. McKinney

Elaine M. McKinney passed away on August 14, 2023 at her home in rural Lewis. She was born on June 2nd, 1964 at Fort Collins, Colorado to the parents of Lawrence and Phyllis Wetter.
Elaine graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Salina, KS. She attended and graduated from Kansas State University in 1987.
On November 18, 1995, she married Robert E. McKinney Jr. in Larned, KS. They made their home in rural Lewis, KS. Elaine worked as a bookkeeper, paraprofessional, and a caseworker. Elaine enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, and photography. She was a member of the Meadowlark Library Board.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Robert; parents, Lawerence and Phyllis Wetter; her siblings, Keith (Tammy) Wetter, Gloria (Tony) Rismondo, Brian (Michelle) Wetter, and numerous nephews and a niece.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 from 10am-5pm, the family will greet friends from 4pm-5pm at McKillip Funeral Home, Kinsley, and the Rosary will follow at 7pm at St. Nicholas Church, Kinsley, KS. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10am at St.Nicholas Church, Kinsley, KS with Father Ben Green presiding. Burial will follow at Wayne Cemetery, Lewis, KS. Memorials are suggested to the Meadowlark Library.
