Mrs. Elaine Smith Reddish, 78, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am EST, Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Dewayne Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reddish was born April 29, 1947 in Columbus GA, daughter of the late James Smith and Mardell Sheffield Smith. She enjoyed working with her flowers and watching the hummingbirds in her yard. Mrs. Reddish was a jokester and loved making people laugh. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family especially the two great-grandchildren Emersyn and Colton. Mrs. Reddish was a long time member of St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church and more recently attended The Way Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry W. Reddish and three sisters, Jewel Wink, Susie Fincher and Cheryl Murphy.
Mrs. Reddish is survived by a daughter, Penny Leigh Clegg; a sister, Fanny Culpepper; a brother, Donnie Smith and wife Tammy; a grandchild, Codi Layne Waldie and husband Brad; two great-grandchildren, Emersyn Waldie and Colton Waldie; as well as her dog, Izzy and several extended family members and friends.
