Elaine Rosia, age 90, joined the Heavenly Host Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born August 16,1933 to the late Albert and Sophia Shockling. She graduated Louisville High School in the class of 1951 and retired from the Hoover Company after 27 years. She was a devout member of Saint Louis Parish in Louisville, Ohio, serving in the Saint Annes Society, the Columbus Womens group, and the bereavement society, where she baked many of the goods, she was famous for. She was a master in the kitchen and at the card table, where she often held court with friends and family. Elaine was an avid gardener, canning and curing a large harvest every year until she left home. Much of her time was spent volunteering at Saint Joseph Care Center, where she would spend her last days. Her sense of humor was legendary, and her laugh was infectious.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years Virgil; sons, Mark, Bernie, and Denny; siblings, Catherine, Thelma, Bill, Dick, Abe, Mary, and Butch.
She is survived by her sister, Donna (Randy) Rose; daughter, Charlene (Robert) Sicker; grandchildren, Stephanie (Joe) Bosstick, Brittanie, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Emmet.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024, 11:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisville, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment at St Louis Cemetery. Father Matt Humerickhouse will preside. Condolences and special memories of Elaine can be shared with her family online at www.paqueletfalk.com
