He graduated from Louisville High School and was an avid Louisville sports fan. He worked in various service industries positions and volunteered at the Akron Canton Food Bank. Richard enjoyed attending Karlee and Kenzee's sporting events and camping at Atwood Lake.
He was preceded in death by parents Richard, Sr. and Frieda (Knetsch) Hansen; brother John Michael Hansen. He is survived by cousins Bob and Brenda Altimore, Lenny and Rhonda Altimore, Donna Altimore, Jamie and Lisa, Karlee, Kenzee Altimore, Shane Altimore, numerous other relatives and friends,
and special buddy, Kiko
