Eldora Denise “Necy” France Alanis, age 62, transitioned this life on June 10, 2025, after a long period of illness. Necy, born on February 14, 1963, was the first of six children born to Brenda Joyce Sewell France Long and Walter France. She began her schooling in the Mansfield City School system and continued in Flint, Michigan, when her family relocated to that area. Necy was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Overseer Robert B. and Mary Evans, Grandparents Willie Hayes and Maggie Rebonous Evans Sewell, Mother Brenda Joyce Sewell France Long, and Father, Calvin Crawford. Uncles – Administrative Assistant Willie H. Sewell, Jr., Ralph Rayon Sewell, and Jonathan Lee Sewell.

As a youth, Necy was energetic and enjoyed modeling. She excelled in this area and was sought out by several agencies. Necy moved to Denver, Colorado, to explore opportunities to further her career as a CNA and in the real estate field. She enjoyed singing and had a beautiful, melodic voice. One of her favorite songs was “Holy One” by Tremaine Hawkins. She enjoyed cooking and made some awesome hamburgers. Art was another passion of hers. She enjoyed viewing beautiful artwork. Not known to many outside of her close family and friends, Necy was a comedian. She loved laughing and making others laugh. She was the first grandchild to Willie and Maggie and often played the role of the protector for her family and friends.

Necy leaves to mourn her homegoing and cherish her life, her children – Tanyinika S. France, Lacey D. France, Jonathan S. K. France, Michael R. Maddox France, Noelani Alanis, and their respective spouses and children. Siblings – Walter France, Jr., Lanathan France, Donyel France, Jeremiah France, and Corlandus D. France. Maternal Aunts Karen Rebekah Sewell Bowen, Columbus, Ohio, and Patricia Sewell Ford, Mansfield, Ohio. Immediate Maternal Cousins – Dr. Alyncia M. Bowen, Charles Sewell, Rashid Sewell, Lawrence Sewell, Rebonous Sewell, Rayon Sewell, Xavier Sewell, Kareem Sewell, and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. Necy loved animals, especially her cat, Baby, and dog, Kato.
