Eleanor Agee Obituary

Eleanor Vaughan Lacy Agee died Wednesday, July 31st in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on November 2, 1944, the second child of William Henry Lacy, Jr. and Eleanor Vaughan Lacy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jon M. Agee. 

Known as Nell by her family and friends, she was Grand to grandchildren, Hudson, Lacy, and Mac.

She is survived by her daughter, Chandler Agee Whitley Fairhead (John), her son, William Mitchell Agee (Amanda), her grandchildren, her sister, Byrd L. Murray, and her nephews, Stephen and John Murray. 

Nell Agee was a graduate of Halifax County High School, Class of 1963. She attended Mary Washington College and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Nell lived most of her adult life in Nashville, where she owned and operated a local business in the Green Hills area for many years. Her professional endeavors also included work in educational development and real estate. 

Services and burial in the Halifax Cemetery will be private. The family expresses their gratitude for the kind messages and condolences received during this time.
