Elena Stokes Obituary
Elena Marie Brooks Stokes, 82, passed away on Thursday, January 02, 2025, at the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina Witherow, and three grandchildren; Derek Curtis Obenschain, Marianna Kir Obenschain, and Ayn Elizabeth Obenschain.
Elena was employed as a front-end helper at Food Lion on West Beverley Street in Staunton and was previously employed as the Kitchen Manager for the Valley Mission and as a server at The Purple Foot in Waynesboro.
There will be no services; however, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Charlottesville/ Albemarle SPCA (3355 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or to the Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah (c/o Augusta Health Foundation, P.O. Box 1000 Fishersville, VA 22939).
