Boersma Funeral Home90 year old, Eligah J. Joseph, of Buffalo, passed away October 11, 2025.
On March 18, 1935, Eligah was born to Ep and Susie (Bradley) Joseph in Rensselaer, Indiana. Eligah was a factory worker for RCA (Radio Corp America) in Monticello. He married the love of his life, Betty L. Owens on July 26, 1972, at the Buffalo Christian Church. He served in the Air Force and the Indiana National Guard. They attended the Church of the Brothern. He was a member of many ‘things’ but not now. Eligah liked to hunt, travel the US, Canada, Mexico and Alaska.
Eligah is survived by his wife: Betty, children: Terry (Pam) Joseph, Debra (Mike) Ward, Tina (Mark) Bailey, Michael (Tina) Hunt, Cherri Whitaker, Richard (Edith) Hunt, Vickie Jones, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Eligah was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law: Bill Jones, grandson: Travis Jones, and 17 siblings: Lillie, Clarence, Sarah, Clark, Lola, Emmett, Sadie, Ethel, Ellis, Ina, Clyde, Claude, Joan, Ore, Cline, Clinton and Ed, and his favorite fur baby, Sammie.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 E. Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Eligah will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home with Pastor ‘Butch’ Howard Wildermuth officiating.
Per Eligah’s wishes cremation will follow.
