Elizabeth "Libby" Allen

Elizabeth "Libby" Wilson Allen, 59, of Conyers passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm April 5, at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by family who loved her.
Libby was born September 23,1964 in Charlotte, N.C. and moved to Conyers, GA at an early age. She graduated from Heritage High School in Conyers, and most recently was working at Clique Here.
Libby embraced life to the fullest. She loved her three children, her grandchildren, family and friends. She was devoted to her fiancé, Sandy Powell, who returned her love in spades. They met more than 10 years ago and have been nearly inseparable ever since. Libby and Sandy were scheduled to be married at the end of April. The two of them enjoyed whatever activity that got them outdoors. But, if they couldn't be reached, it was most likely because they had discovered a new fishing hole. Anyone who knew Libby, knew of her love for animals, from her "best friends" Lucy and Cookie, to her flock of chickens. If there was an animal that needed a home, Libby provided it.
In addition to Sandy, Libby leaves behind her three children who she adored: Jody Parker, Jackie Harbin, and Wil Allen and his wife, Megan; five grandchildren, Payton Parker, Gannon Watts, Grayson Watts, Bryson Allen, and William Allen; three sisters, Debby Brown (Charlotte, N.C.), Lorri Montgomery (Richmond, VA), and Lyndi Houston (Darlington, S.C.); numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Libby was preceded in death by her devoted parents, James W. and Betty Jo Wilson, of Conyers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 20 at Scot Ward Funeral Home in Conyers from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. A celebration of life service for family and friends will be held immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
