Elizabeth Ann Bruner

Elizabeth Ann "Sissy" Bruner, 74, of Kingsway Drive, Nicholasville, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was born in Nicholasville on September 19, 1948, to Luther J. Bruner and the late Frances Brumfield Bruner. Sissy was retired from the Jessamine County Health Department where she was a senior support associate. She lovingly raised her niece, Renee Jasper (Jason), and nephew, Justin Jasper (Kim) as her own after the passing of her sister and was the loving grandmother to Alexis Jasper, Justin "Bub" Jasper, Aubrey Jasper, and Roman Jasper. In addition to her father, Luther, she is survived by her brothers, Luther Clay Bruner (Sue), and Robert Bruner (Tammy); aunts, Roberta Perkins, Alice Brumfield Bowles, and Sue Brumfield Holt; sisters-in-law, Debbie Bruner, and Donna Bruner; nephews, Aaron Bruner (Meredith), Jeremy Bruner, Bryan Bruner, Justin Jasper (Kim), Tyler Bruner (Hannah), and Chris Bruner (Cayelin); nieces, Crystal Kunglal, Tracy Jo Bruner, Sabrina Coffey (Ben), and Renee Jasper (Jason); her special friends, Margaret Brock and Janie Cecil; as well as a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Frances; brothers, Tony Bruner, and David Ray Bruner; sister, Peggy Bruner Stinnett; and nephew, Lucas Bruner. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 11, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Bales officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where bearers will be Luther Clay Bruner, Robert Bruner, Aaron Bruner, Jeremy Bruner, Bryan Bruner, Justin Jasper, Tyler Bruner and Chris Bruner. Honorary bearers will be Ben Coffey, Jason Hansmann, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and special friends. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 4:00 – 9:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Sissy and the Bruner family in their time of need.
