Elizabeth A. Carlesimo, age 89, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 16, 2022.
She was born in Detroit, MI, September 9, 1933, the daughter of the late Lily and Franklin Webber.
Elizabeth is the loving mother of Angelo (MaryKae), Julie Chopp (Bruce) and the late Gino; beloved grandmother of Tony, Gary, Jordan, Dominic, Jon and Caleigh; dearest great grandmother of Mara; fondest sister to 6 siblings.
Mom was a kind, loving, compassionate mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mom and her siblings spent their younger school years at St. Vincent Orphanage and Sarah Fisher Center. There Mom made life-long friends, and as adults they would get together often. They all decided to call their group of friends the "O"s which is short for "Orphans".
Throughout her life Mom's Christian faith was an inspiration to all. Mom's unconditional love for Jesus was recognized in her day-to-day walk through life.
Her home was a place of joy and where many heartfelt memories were made. Spaghetti dinners will always have a special place in our hearts.
Mom will be greatly missed, your spirit will forever live in our hearts WE LOVE YOU. Angelo, Gino and Julie.
A funeral Mass celebrating Elizabeth's life will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, 12 pm (in state 11:30 am), St Gerald Catholic Church, 21300 Farmington Rd, Farmington.
A funeral procession will take Elizabeth to her final place of rest, Glen Eden Memorial Park Mausoleum, immediately following Mass.
