A Devoted Father, Nonno, Great-Nonno, and the Rock of His Family
Antonio Carlesimo passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 84. A man of strength, discipline, and quiet devotion, Antonio was a steady and constant presence in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Born in Italy on January 28, 1941, Antonio lived by a set of values that never wavered: hard work, loyalty, and family above all. He spent his career as a pipe layer, known for arriving early, staying late, and taking pride in doing things the right way. He never sought recognition, but he earned the respect of everyone around him through dedication and consistency.
Antonio was the proud father of Tony and Celeste Carlesimo. Though life brought its share of challenges, he remained deeply connected to his family. His relationship with his late wife, Teresa, reflected a long and honest journey-marked by history, perseverance, and lasting love in their own way.
As Nonno to Christopher and Michael Carlesimo, and Great-Nonno to Noah Carlesimo, Antonio was a figure of patience and quiet strength. He led not with words, but by example-through presence, reliability, and the kind of steady love that builds legacies. His guidance, though rarely spoken outright, shaped the generations that followed.
He appreciated life's simpler pleasures: a good homemade meal, a glass of wine, time spent with family. Though reserved by nature, he had a sharp sense of humor, a warm heart, and a presence that made people feel safe and grounded.
Antonio is survived by his sons, his grandchildren, his great-grandson, and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry his memory forward. His life was one of integrity, humility, and steadfast love-and his absence will be felt deeply.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, FL 34683. A funeral service will follow on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
