Elizabeth J. Connelly

CLINTON: Elizabeth J. "Bette" (Kennedy) Connelly, 81, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in her home. Her husband of 58 years, John M. "Jack" Connelly, Jr., passed away in 2020.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Audino & companion Robin Lataille of Sturbridge, Timothy J. Connelly & companion Linda Kadlik of Clinton, Tracey Brinkman & husband James of Plymouth, Jack Connelly & companion Jacqueline Goguen of Leominster and Amy Taylor of Clinton; 2 brothers, Thomas Kennedy & wife Betty of Lancaster, and Richard Kennedy & wife Judy of Clinton; 7 grandchildren: Zachary, Joshua, Timothy, Michael, Brady, Gabrielle, and Hannah; 7 great-grandchildren, Mia Bella, Gianna, Zander, Rowan, Anthony, Nolan & Bryson; and many nieces, nephews. She is predeceased by her grandchildren Cory and Casey Audino.
Bette was born in Fitchburg, on September 11,1941 to the late Harry & Rita (Wenzel) Kennedy. She graduated from St. Michael's Academy in Hudson, Class of 1959. She worked as a function coordinator at the Barlin Acres and Worcester Eco Tarium, and then worked as an Asst. Circulation Manager for the Clinton Item Newspaper.
Bette was a social butterfly, with a great sense of humor and loved being the life of the party. Bette was always the first person in the room to get the joke if not telling it. Bette had great style, her hair and nails were always pristine, and she had a knack for accessorizing. She loved word puzzles and anything that helped keep her mind sharp. For many years she loved traveling abroad with her husband, driving cross country or going to a casino with her friends. Above all, Bette devoted herself to family and was proudest in her roles as wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Friday, August 4, 2023, in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton; with burial in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Elizabeth J.
