Age 96 of Pitcairn peacefully passed away on Sunday May 8, 2022. Bette was born on March 28, 1926, to the late Carl and Elizabeth (Jones) Metzgar. Bette was preceded in death by her two brothers, Carl and Jack Metzgar and sister, JoAnn States and infant daughter, Nancy Jean. She is the loving mother of Richard (Ginny) Grimes, Linda (Bill) Hughes, Donna (Len) DiNaples, Bob (Dena) Grimes, Jack (Tammy) Grimes and Sue (Jeff) Haberland; loving and special Nana to 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren (with one on the way) and her two sisters, Peggy Stephenson and Eleanor Ritrovato. Bette's family meant the world to her. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 2-6 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (Monroeville/Plum Chapel) 445 Beatty Rd., Monroeville (412-856-4747). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Caitlin Werth officiating. Private interment will follow at Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, N. Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridge's Hospice 4130 Monroeville Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146 or online at www.bridgeshospice.org. www.jobefuneralhome.com.
