Elizabeth A. (Poirier) Ianno, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Ianno, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Wednesday morning, June 25, 2025. She was 83 years old.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on January 11, 1942, she was the beloved daughter of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Fistori) Poirier.
Elizabeth was retired from Orion Research Company where she was employed as an Assembler, for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for her family and loved to go shopping. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving children; Regina and her husband Peter Martel of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Karen M. and her husband Philip J. O"Donnell, Jr. of Medford and Kelly and her husband Benjamin Bumpus of Wareham, stepchildren; Christopher Ianno of Revere and Maria Ianno of Grafton, brothers; Alfred and his wife Sandy Poirier of Billerica and Bobby Cuccinota of New Hampshire, grandchildren; Molly O'Donnell, Brendan and his wife Juliana O'Donnell, Cheri and her husband Paul Ferreira, Michelle Hardy and Crystal Englehart, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Donna Cuccinota.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Monday, prior to the mass, from 9 to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 320 Nevada Street, Newton, MA 02460.
