Elizabeth "Betty" Koltyk, age 95, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on September 9, 2025. She was born on March 16,1930 in Detroit to John and Irene Brown.
Betty was married to Silven Koltyk on June 10,1961 and were married 60 years until Silven's death in 2021.
Betty was a professional radio and television singer beginning as a young child where she sang at WJBK radio station. In the 1950's, while in her 20's, she sang on television as a regular on The Happy Hour Club which aired on WXYZ TV. She also went on to sing with many big bands and eventually with her future husband, Silven.
Betty was a huge fan of Michigan Wolverines football and The Detroit Tigers.
Betty is survived by her sons, Greg and Randy (Abbie); grandchildren, Kimberly (Zac), Kristina, Shawn and Cody; great grandchildren, Anthony, Aiden, Quinn, Braxton and Beau; her brother, Robert (Sandy) Brown and her sister-in-law, Judy.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Silven; brothers, Jack, Edward "Bud", and Tom; sister, Pat; sister in laws, Janet and Virginia.
The visitation will be held Friday, September 12th from 3:00 - 8:00PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. The funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, September 13th at 11:00AM with final visiting starting at 10:00AM. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
