William Anthony Statetzny, age 88 died on September 9, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born on March 18, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of William and Ann Statetzny. On May 2, 1959, William married Mary Ann Rucinski in Dearborn, Michigan.

He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Linda (Steven) Rogers, Lori Statetzny, Alan (Michelle) Statetzny, Todd (Suzanne) Statetzny, four grandchildren, Morgan, Emilie, Devin, and Aidan; three sisters-in-law, Sally Marchak, Rosalie (Dan) Lerini, and Shirley Statetzny. William was preceded in death by his brother Fred Statetzny; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joanne and Joseph Nyeste; and brothers-in-law Roman Marchak and Frank Rucinski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 12, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Priscilla Catholic Church in Livonia, with William In-State from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will take place at St. Hedwig Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in William’s name to Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center at www.oakgov.com and click link to Pet Adoption.
