Heaven has gained the most amazing angel!
Elizabeth (Liz) Kurth, 99 of Soo Hill passed away at the Christian Park Village on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Elizabeth was a stay at home mom to every lucky kid. She enjoyed raising and taking car of her boys, grandchildren and even great grandchildren. Liz loved her family and would do anything for them. She will be deeply missed by all!
Elizabeth was born February 22, 1926 in Gladstone. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Sarasin. She was raised in Gladstone where she also attended school.
On September 3, 1945, Liz was united in marriage to Albert Kurth at Salem Lutheran Church in Escanaba and together the couple made their home and raised their family in Soo Hill.
Liz is survived by her son Richard (Joanne) Kurth of Soo Hill, MI. Grandchildren Michael (Jessica) Kurth, Thomas (Melissa) Kurth and Susan (Greg) Jarvey. Great grandchildren Alexander Kurth, Trent Kurth, Thomas (Nichole) Kurth Jr, Samantha (Colin) Cate and Brandon Jarvey. Daughter-in-law Carol Kurth and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Sarasin, husband, Albert Kurth in 2016, son, Michael Kurth in 1994, brothers, Carl and Gordon, sisters, Emma, Dorothy, Mae "Tootie" and Helen.
Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held privately at the convenience of her family. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
