Elizabeth Carrie Luce

September 03. 1966- August 14, 2025

Elizabeth Carrie Luce, 58, passed away on August 14, 2025 at her home in Worland, Wyoming.

She was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming on September 03, 1966 to Robert Joseph and Nina Mabel (Bueno) Tjepkes. Elizabeth grew up in Shoshoni, Thermopolis, and Worland. In her school years, she was very active and competed in diving and gymnastics where she earned presidential awards and went on to become a gymnastics teacher, sharing her love of the sport with all. After graduation, Elizabeth married Andrew Sonesen. This union brought her three daughters, Stashia, Ariana and Delfina. They later divorced. She prioritized family and cherished her daughters and husband. In her free time, she liked traveling to the mountains to go fishing and camping. At home, she loved her garden and watch ghost videos with her grandchildren and husband. As an adult she became an esteemed florist and even did arrangements for Diana Ross, David Copperfield and Robbie Knievel and was very proud of her work. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and would always get the grandkids hyped up on candy before sending them home to mom and dad. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and always had something witty to say. She loved making butterscotch chocolate chip cookies that she shared with her family and friends, and going out dancing often with her husband. She never forgot to send cookies, cards, and even money to her daughters and friends on holidays, birthdays and even just because. It didn't matter if she one back, she wanted to spoil her family. After a long fight with cancer, her health was finally stable, she struggled with heart issues and cirrhosis and well but it never got her down and she kept a smile through every late-night movie, road trip every single day she got to spend with us on this earth. She had been married to Edwin Luce for 19 beautiful years and were together for 23 years through sickness and health for better or worse, she is so loved and forever missed. We will always hold her hand and promise to find her in every lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her half brother, Freddie Garcia.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin; daughters, Stashia (Kevin) Humphreys of Ocala, Florida, Ariana Sonesen of Colby, Kansas and Delfina Sonesen of Dickinson, North Dakota; Brother, Denny Tjepkes of Minot, North Dakota; sister, Penny Miller of Minot, North Dakota; grandchildren: Logan, Damien Ruffing, Xander Humphreys, Veidryn, Stashia Soneson and Lucian Roberson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to assist with funeral services. Please send checks to PO Box 524 Worland, Wyoming 82401. You can also donate online at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
