Elizabeth A. (Laurer) Shorey, 62, of Plainville, formerly of Bristol, died on Saturday (March 1, 2025) at Apple Rehab in Plainville.
Elizabeth was born on November 9, 1962, in Harwinton and was a daughter of the late Gunther Laurer and Joyce (Murray) Banner.
She spent most of her life in Bristol, where she raised her children. She was a member of the Salvation Army, Bristol.
Elizabeth is survived by three children: Cherish Shorey of Bristol, Devin Shorey and wife, Anna of Naugatuck, and Austin Shorey of Bristol; two siblings: Robert Laurer of Southington and Rose Mary Leclair of Roanoke Rapids, NC; three grandchildren: Alyssa Garcia, Arianna Ashner, and Zachary Garcia; two great grandchildren: Chase and Carter Cahill; former husband: Richard "Rit" Shorey; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday (March 13, 2025) at 4 PM at the Salvation Army, 19 Stearns St., Bristol. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
