Elizabeth Gail Campbell Skogman, age 96, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully at home and went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2023. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Elizabeth "Betty" was born to Nettie Nye Campbell and Clarence Campbell in Frederic, WI, May 3, 1926. Betty received her BA degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling. She enjoyed teaching Bible classes for many years in churches wherever she lived. She and Earl enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and writing poetry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and son-in-law, Lindsey Hobson. Her sister, Jean Rohrer, still resides in Colorado. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 72 years, Earl G. Skogman, their five children: Darrell Skogman (Jennifer); Cindy Bosse (David); Russell Skogman; JaNeene Jones (Kent); and Elizabeth Hobson;
ten grandchildren: Darrell Skogman Jr. (Joni); Elizabeth Connell (Jeremy); Elizabeth Bosse; Benjamin Bosse, Allison Bosse; Kelly Jones, Cole Jones (Lauren), Greta Beil, Kate Beil, and Frederic Beil. Great-grandchildren are Jasper, Baxter and Grayson Skogman; Owen and Elizabeth "Betsy" Connell; Price and Charlie Bosse; and Brady Jones plus one great-grandson on the way!

A Celebration of Life will be held at Rose Mann Funeral Home on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Alan Smith officiating. A reception/visitation will follow. We will reconvene at Edgewood Cemetery for Interment at 2:00 PM that day. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Betty's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org. Online condolences may be expressed at rosefuneraltn.com.
