Elizabeth Savage Smith

Elizabeth Savage Smith, 82, of Friendsville, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Somerford Place in Hagerstown, MD.
Elizabeth was born on May 24, 1943, in Friendsville, MD to the late Ernest Frederick and Jesse Blanche (Chidester) Savage.
She was a 1962 graduate of Northern High School in Garrett County, MD before attending Catherman's Business School in Cumberland, MD.
Elizabeth owned and operated her own wallpapering business before eventually retiring from the Internal Revenue Service.
She was a member of Keeler Glade Church of God in Friendsville, MD. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, antiquing, going to yard sales, and taking care of her grandsons.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Todd Stanton of Hagerstown, MD; 2 grandsons Christian Stanton and Owen Stanton both of Hagerstown, MD; brother Ernest F. Savage, Jr. of Tomonium, MD; sister Freda Signs of Friendsville, MD; brother Earl Savage of Buies Creek, NC; brother Ross Savage and his wife Carolyn of Friendsville, MD.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Smith.
Services and burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
