Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Stupp, age 76, of Stinesville, Indiana, shed her earthly angel wings and gained her heavenly golden halo on Friday, February 21 st, 2025.
Liz was born on March 22 nd, 1948, in Sweetwater, Tennessee, to Frank and Imogene Green (Moses). She was a 1966 graduate of Twin Valley South High School in West Alexandria, Ohio. On July 21 st, 1967, Liz married the love of her life, Allan Stupp, in Brookville, Ohio. Together, they had three children: Patricia "Tricia" Abbott, Byron "Lee" Stupp, and Marcille "Marci" England. In 2007 she retired from Indiana University after 30+ years of service. Liz was known for her genuine kindness, unwavering strength of character, wonderful sense of humor and extreme love for her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, a wonderful mother to her three children and an even better grandma to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was steadfast in her Christian beliefs and was the epitome of a Godly woman. She was an avid reader and loved nothing more than to spend the day reading her books. Liz's accomplishments in life cannot be bullet point listed, they cannot be displayed in a glass case or pasted into a scrapbook. Liz's accomplishments can be seen in the love that her family has for her. They can be seen in the long-term friendships she maintained. They can be seen in the legacy she left behind in her children and grandchildren. She was the shining example of what unconditional love looks like and the epitome of integrity and faithful adherence to her beliefs. She was her family's rock, foundation and touchstone and will be missed by them until the end of their days.
At the time of her passing, Liz was not only greeted by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she was also reunited with her beloved husband, parents, her sisters, Caroline Proctor and Betty Proctor, and her father and mother-in-law, Byron and Marcille Stupp.
Those left behind to mourn her passing and to miss her beyond measure are her children, Patricia (John) Abbot, Byron (Heidi), Stupp, Marcille (Michael) England, her grandchildren, Sylvia (John) Cox, Anndrea Isom, James (Sabrina) Isom, Jackson Duncan, Odie Lawson, Bailey Rogers, Caelan (Abby Goldman) England, Nolan (Hailey) England, 16 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Frank (Pam) Green, Clinton (Joanna) Green, and Melvin (Connie) Green, her sister Kay (Rick) Napier, her brother and sisters-in law Clay Stupp, Susan Wright and Sandy (Barry) Goforth, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Chambersville Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
