98, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Regency on the Lake.
She was born in Port Huron, Michigan on November 25, 1924, daughter of the late Karl and Olga (Falk) Albert.
She married Gerald E. Burde on November 7, 1947, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Port Huron.
Ella liked painting, playing games, and babysitting her grandchildren. She loved living on the Lake.
Ella is survived by two daughters, Jamie (Arthur) Whitefield and Jarie Lee (Gregory) Laws; grandchildren, Gerald (Sarah) Barrett, Jaclynne Bond, Tyler (Natalie) Laws, and Dane (Gabrielle Francisco) Laws; great-grandchildren, Caden, Gracelynne, and Nehemiah Barrett, Riley and Anna Hall, Josephine and Juliana Bond, Alex, Madalynn, and Lilah Apolzan, and Scarlett Laws. She is also survived by a brother, Victor (Patricia) Albert.
Ella was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 70 years, Gerald Burde, her parents, Karl and Olga Albert and brother, Carl (Helen) Albert; sister-in-law, Dorothy Albert; and brother-in-law, Jack Burde.
Private family services were held at Grace Memorial-Smith Chapel and interment followed at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron. A Celebration of Life will be held at Port Huron Golf Club on July 23, 2023 from 1- 4:00 pm.
Memorials may be made to Lakeshore Presbyterian Church.
