Ella N. Hoover, 84, of Leola, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in West Earl Township to the late Aaron and Elizabeth (Groff) Nolt and was the wife of the late Lloyd Z. Hoover, who passed away in 2019.

She was a member of Conestoga Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference) and a homemaker.

Ella is survived by eight children, Ella Hoover of Leola, Verna, wife of Edwin Hoover of Dundee, NY, Raymond, husband of Susan (Burkholder) Hoover of Pen Yan, NY, Aaron, husband of Marian (Burkholder) Hoover of Greenwich, OH, Lloyd, husband of Mary Ann (Martin) Hoover of Leola, John David, husband of Arlene (Martin) Hoover of Orchard, IA, Ada, wife of Edwin Hoover of Millmont, PA, Elvin, husband of Yvonne (High) Hoover of Denver; 37 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katie, wife of the late Henry Zimmerman, Anna, wife of the late Mose Sensenig, Lydia, wife of Paul Horning; a sister-in-law, Lydia (Martin) Nolt; a brother, Aaron Jacob, husband of Verna (Sensenig) Nolt.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a stillborn sister and a brother, Elvin Nolt.

All are welcome to attend the viewing on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, at the Lloyd and Mary Ann Hoover residence, 303 W. Farmersville Road, Leola. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 9 AM, from the residence, with further services at 9:30 AM, at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 313 N. Farmersville Road, Ephrata, with Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
