Ella Mae Perdue

Ella Mae Perdue, age 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her daughter's home in The Villages, Florida, surrounded by family. Born in Berlin, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Lee Griffin and Louise Turner Griffin and wife of the late Maurice Perdue.
Ella Mae was a gracious and kind lady who was loved and respected by many. She attended school in Ocean City, MD and later married her husband of 56 years. Together, they raised a family in Salisbury and then raised chickens and pigs in Girdetree. Ella Mae loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately called her Mom Mom. She enjoyed playing cards, bocci ball and above all else... slot machines. In retirement, she also enjoyed traveling with Blondee's Bus Tours, seeing Graceland, Las Vegas, Mount Rushmore, Branson Missouri and more.
She is survived by her son, John Wayne Perdue (Paula), her daughter, Phyllis Fennessy, son-in-law, James Thomas, ten grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice Daniel Perdue, daughter Shirley Thomas, granddaughter Alicia Matthews, grandson, Gary Thomas, son-in-law Edward Fennessy, sister Mary Lee Wooten and nieces, Lou Ann Garton and Sharon Parsons.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at The Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, Maryland. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
