Ellen Murphy Brown, 80, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Born on April 19, 1945, she was the daughter of the late James Arthur Murphy and Anna Lee Frazier Murphy.
Ellen was a life-long homemaker who enjoyed gardening, getting lost in a good book and above all else her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Brown; six grandchildren, Vanessa Shepherd, Ryne Brown, Cecelia Mashburn, Kyle Brown, Eli Mashburn, and Adam Brown; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Rylie, and Harper. She is also survived by two brothers, Jonathan “Johnny” Murphy and David Murphy, and one sister, Doris Nations, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, George “Warner” Brown, and her son, Gregory “Scottie” Brown.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sols Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
