Ellen (Warner) Koch December 16, 1933 – May 21, 2025
Ellen (Warner) Koch, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, at Northwest Manor Healthcare.
Born on December 16, 1933, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, Ellen was the beloved daughter of Laurence and Helen Warner. She was a proud graduate of Broad Ripple High School and went on to earn her degree from Butler University.
Ellen began her professional life as a business education teacher. On June 4, 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Koch. After the birth of their son, Ellen chose to focus her time and energy on being a devoted stay-at-home mother, a role in which she found deep joy and fulfillment.
In addition to her commitment to family, Ellen was a dedicated volunteer at Crossroad Rehabilitation Center, where she gave generously of her time for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 59 years, Robert (Bob) Koch; their son, David Koch; her sister, Nancy Helen Breedland; sister-in-law, Shirley Schneider; and several cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Flanner & Buchanan – Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46228. Funeral services and burial will follow immediately.
Ellen will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She will be deeply missed.
