R.V Moore was born December 21st, 1940, in Canton Mississippi to Richard and Mattie Moore, He was the fifth of eight children. R.V moved to Indianapolis with his family at an early age. He attended Indianapolis Public Schools and graduated from Harry E. Wood High School. R.V worked for Morrissons Department Store where he met his wife Rosemary and soon married on January 30, 1965, for 61 years.
In this union 4 children were born, Eric, Tyrone, Kevin and Michelle. Later they gained a bonus daughter adopting their granddaughter, Autum.
R.V was employed at Ford Motor Company until he retired. R.V was a devoted member of South Calvary Baptist Church. He was a member of the Brother Hood, Chairman of the Deacon Board, drove the church bus to pick up and drop off church members, and could be seen at times cutting grass for South Calvary. You can say he loved church.
R.V loved sports, he coached little league baseball and would sit for hours watching all kinds of sports on TV.
On February 7, 2026, R.V Moore departed this life at the age of 85
He was preceded in death by both parents Richard and Mattie Moore; Brothers, John Moore, Charles Moore, Willie Moore and sister, Christine Raine.
He leaves to cherish his memory of devoted wife Rosemary Moore; sons Eric Moore, Tyrone Moore and Kevin Moore; daughter Michelle Moore, bonus daughter Autum Moore and daughter-in-law Tjawana; Grandsons Tyrone and Tayron Moore; Granddaughters Kiara, Erica, and Kiana; brother Andrew Moore (Billie) sisters, Maggie Riddle and Theresa Tardy, and 15 great grandchildren
