Ellis Dean Falin, age 71 of Church Hill, TN, gained his angel wings and went to be with his Lord and savior on April 10, 2025, after a brief illness. We rejoice in his testimony as he accepted Christ on April 9, 2025.
Dean retired after 50 years of service with Cardinal Glass. He has been a resident of Hawkins County his entire life. He was an avid fisherman, spending many hours on Cherokee Lake throughout the years. Dean also loved sitting in his recliner with his fur baby, Tango.
Born to Joe Falin and Mary Ruth (Berry) Falin on July 12, 1953, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James; mother-in-law, Jessie Browder; father-in-law, Major Browder; two daughters-in-law, Denise McGinnis, and Becky Falin; grandchild, Miracle Falin; and his fur babies, Lilly and Tango.
Dean is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Emma Browder Falin; daughters, Patricia, and Tracy (Joseph); sons, Eddie, Michael, Joey, and Wade (Holly); brother, Richard (Teresa); grandchildren, Brittany, Dinah, David, Maccie, Mikey (Victoria), Billie, Jasmine, Stephanie, Laney (Braydon), Macey (Isaac), and Jessie; in addition he has 16 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chad Tipton officiating. A graveside service will follow in procession to Mt. Mitchell Cemetery. In the event of inclement weather, the graveside service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Serving as pallbearers will be Dean's children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Mitchell Community Cemetery in memory of Dean Falin. c/o: Melissa Smith, P.O. Box 1605, Mt. Carmel, TN 37645
