Ellyn Fleming, 64, of Newport, completed her journey on this earth and entered eternal life on December 1, 2024, following an extended but courageous battle with Cancer.
Born on July 20, 1960, in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Harriett (Cogswell) Fleming.
Ellyn was an accomplished and admired singer/ songwriter/ musician. She received songwriting achievement awards from Amnesty International, Billboard Magazine, The Independent Singer Songwriters Association, and The Dean Markley World Music Awards. Critics have called her a "songsmith", recognizing her astute ability to craft excellence in nearly every musical genre. Most impressively, Ellyn's entire music catalogue is currently under contract with the renowned "Music of the Sea" (music library) with offices in Chicago and Los Angeles.
Ellyn is survived by her loving wife & soul mate, Paula Visnoski; several dear cousins; her loyal canine pal, Billie Bumble Holiday; and scores of special friends and appreciative & adoring fans!
