Passed away on November 1, 2025, at Medilodge of Tawas City at the age of 85 years. Elmer was born on May 3, 1940, in Spaulding Township, MI, to the late Floyd Allen and Evelyn (Whelton) Littlejohn. A natural born musician, Elmer taught himself to play guitar as a child. He loved listening to music and was always singing. Elmer was a sweet soul and always greeted you with a smile.
Surviving are his brother Frank (Cathy) Littlejohn, sisters-in-law Rebecca "Becky" Littlejohn and Sharon Cummings, niece and caretaker Kathy Littlejohn, as well as nieces and nephews: Leann (Harvey) Littlejohn Ruggles, Sherry (John) Meredith, Michael (Ashley) Littlejohn, Chad (Mikayla) Stain, Yvonne (Paul Welch) Kneuss, Carl (Carol) Littlejohn, Brenda (Curtis) Holbin, Deanna Thompson, Debra Littlejohn Bierschbach, and Mike Littlejohn.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Elwood "Andy" Littlejohn, Janette Littlejohn, Elise Braley, Louis Littlejohn, Rosella Wood, Ellen Tubbs, and Carl Littlejohn.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice and Medilodge of Tawas City for their exceptional care of Elmer. They would also like to thank the Roscommon County Commission on Aging and Serenity Day Lodge, especially Heather DeLisle, Brittani Obey and Emma Baker, for their help and gentle care.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 12:30 pm until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may be made to the Serenity Day Lodge.
