KERNS, Elsie Marie, of Hauppauge, LI, NY. Born August 15, 1938, died July 26, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Gene Kerns, mother of Laura Kerns, the late Ernest Kerns, the late Gerald Kerns, and the late Cheryl Geertz. Grandmother of Crystal (Michael) Agapiou, Bradley (Andrea Creech) Geertz and the late Coltin Geertz. Great Grandmother of Kiera, Mason and Sophia Agapiou, Kaiden and Kinsley Creech and Charlotte Geertz. Sister of Helen McGuire of Colorado and Dorothy Kahl of California. Elsie was a well-respected nurse and always took much pride in her career. Cremation to be followed by burial at Hauppauge Cemetery. Memorial Mass in Smithtown at St. Catherine’s Hospital Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2025
