Elvira M. Barbati, 90, of E. Friendship Avenue, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Quality Life Services in New Castle. She was born on July 2, 1935, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Isadoor and Rose (Osso) Barbati. Elvira enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one sister, Marjorie Coonfare of New Castle, and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by five brothers, Tony Barbati Eugene Barbati, Isadoor Barbati, Jr., Richard Barbati, and Ronald Barbati, and three sisters, Mary Conti, Ida Jopek, and Helen Joseph.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 10 AM to 11 AM, at the William F. DeCarbo & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A blessing service will be celebrated Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Deacon John Carran will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
