Emilie A. Schoeniger passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at St. Mary's Center in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Legacy
Predeceased by her parents and brother William Schoeniger, she is survived by her two sisters, Diane McGovern of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, and Frances Coughlin of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Emilie attended Nazareth Academy High School in Torresdale, PA. After graduation, she worked as an Administrative Assistant at Sears and Roebuck Company. Later, she moved to Blackwood, NJ, where she worked at the West Jersey Hospital for 25 years before retiring.Emilie was an accomplished watercolor artist, and she had a beautiful voice. She sang in the choir at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church. Always fond of travel, she enjoyed Europe, Hawaii, and the Jersey Shore. Emilie will be fondly remembered as a kind and generous spirit who cared deeply for her parents, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Farewell Tribute
Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, January 10th from 10:15AM to 10:45AM in Our Lady of Hope Parish at St. Jude's Church 402 South Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, NJ 08031. Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery Lower Landing, NJ. Donations in her memory may be made to St Mary's Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare (210 St. Mary's Drive, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003) and the American Cancer Society.
