It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Emily Hope Barnes, age 25, who left us on September 20, 2024. Emily was a beloved mother to Colt Harmon and a devoted fiancé to Tristian Harmon. She was known for her kindness, strength and unwavering love for her family and friends.
Born in Clay County, Florida, Emily was adopted at a young age and always felt the utmost gratitude to have found parents who loved her unconditionally. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School and was employed at The Front Room in Batesburg, SC. Her passion and dedication were evident in everything she did. Emily was a beacon of light to those who knew her, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile. She will be deeply missed.
Emily will always remain in the hearts of those left behind. Surviving are her fiancé, Tristian Harmon; son, Colt Harmon; parents, Sheryl and Robert Barnes; sisters, Kyra and Kayla; brothers, Carson, Mason, Dalton and Kenneth; her biological parents, Debbie and Roger Chitwood and her special friend, Taylor Stroud. Emily is also survived by many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by a son, Asher Harmon and a brother, Derrick.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 until 2 o'clock on Saturday, October 12th at the home of Donna Potts. Milton Shealy Funeral Home of Batesburg is assisting the family.
The family kindly request in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
