It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Emily Hope Barnes, age 25, who left us on September 20, 2024. Emily was a beloved mother to Colt Harmon and a devoted fiancé to Tristian Harmon. She was known for her kindness, strength and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Born in Clay County, Florida, Emily was adopted at a young age and always felt the utmost gratitude to have found parents who loved her unconditionally. She was a graduate of Gilbert High School and was employed at The Front Room in Batesburg, SC. Her passion and dedication were evident in everything she did. Emily was a beacon of light to those who knew her, always offering a helping hand and a warm smile. She will be deeply missed.

Emily will always remain in the hearts of those left behind. Surviving are her fiancé, Tristian Harmon; son, Colt Harmon; parents, Sheryl and Robert Barnes; sisters, Kyra and Kayla; brothers, Carson, Mason, Dalton and Kenneth; her biological parents, Debbie and Roger Chitwood and her special friend, Taylor Stroud. Emily is also survived by many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by a son, Asher Harmon and a brother, Derrick.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 until 2 o'clock on Saturday, October 12th at the home of Donna Potts. Milton Shealy Funeral Home of Batesburg is assisting the family.
