Emily Munoz

Emily Dalia Munoz, of Clifton, entered life eternal Monday, November 11, 2024, in Clifton. She was 42.
Emily was born October 14, 1982, to Roger Munoz and her birth mother in West Covina, California. She was the youngest of four children residing in Walnut California. In 1993, she and two siblings, Angela and Nicolas, moved to Fontana, California, where she attended middle and high school and resided with her father Roger Munoz and mother Theresa Munoz.
Over the years she welcomed her two children, Nicholas and Dalia, and they resided in San Bernardino, California. She attended massage school and received her massage therapy license. She worked in a day spa and was extremely talented at her craft. In 2022 she moved to Clifton, Arizona, with her husband, Darrell Godsey, to be close to her father, Roger Munoz, and mother, Theresa Munoz.
Emily lived the last few years of her life being involved in the community, elected to the city council, attending and singing in church, exploring the outdoors and going to the river, and spending time with her family. She made many friends and wanted to be involved in city activities and events. She worked at the American Legion as a bartender and on her last day, she served the veterans for Veteran's Day.
She passed on her love for singing to her daughter, Dalia, and loved to sing for people at family gatherings, weddings, funerals and social and city events. She loved animals, insects, and creatures of all sorts. She loved having a garden and making crafts including full spooky dollhouses, hats, jewelry and ornaments. Thrift shopping and going to antique stores to find oddities brought her joy. Traveling and learning the history of old towns became a hobby she enjoyed with Darrell. She was fun, bubbly, and had a great laugh. She enjoyed movies, tv shows, music, and art.
She is survived by: her husband, Darrell Godsey; her father, Roger Munoz; her mother, Theresa Munoz; her siblings, Veronica Munoz, Angela Tedesco, Nicolas Munoz, and Bernadette Buttner-Garcia; and lots of nieces and nephews; and her children, Nicholas Patterson and Dalia Patterson.
A visitation and funeral service for Emily will be conducted Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at the Lloyd C. Hill Post 28 American Legion in Clifton. Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
A memorial gathering and luncheon will follow all services at the Lloyd C. Hill Post 28 American Legion in Clifton.
