Emma Lou Blankenship, 78, passed away on February 7, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Ocie Honaker; her husband, James Earl Blankenship; her daughter, Michelle Lee Blankenship; and cousin, Leon Diamond Hatfield.
Emma is survived by her son, Jonah J. Blankenship and wife, Sandra of Fayetteville, NC; her son, Paul C. Blankenship and wife, Angela of Hope Mills, NC; her sister, Ruby Kennedy of Freeburn, KY; her granddaughter, Elyssa Blankenship and Brandon Jordan of Raeford, NC; her grandson, Christian Blankenship of Hope Mills, NC; her grandson, Owen Lucas of Fayetteville, NC; her granddaughter, Athenia Brown and Jeff Brown of Fayetteville, NC; her great-grandchildren, Summer, Tiana, Aiden, Alaina, and Emma; a slew of nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Emma Lou touched the hearts of everyone that was fortunate enough to know her, and with that she will be eternally missed by each and every one of them.
Services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Stoney Point Baptist Church, 6554 Rockfish Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306. The family will have visitation from 3:30pm – 4:00pm. A memorial service will follow from 4:00pm – 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations or memorials may be sent to Paul and Angela Blankenship, 3836 Sturbridge Drive, Hope Mills, NC 28348.
